Common questions
What thickness is the.022 point chipboard and why does it matter?
.022 point equals approximately 22 mils or 0.022 inches. This thickness provides optimal balance between rigidity and cost-efficiency, sturdy enough to protect against box cutter damage and compression, yet thin enough to maintain economical shipping weights without adding bulk to your packages.
Can these chipboard pads be used for products other than envelopes?
Yes. These versatile pads work as carton liners, product dividers, protective layers for fragile items, and structural supports for bundled shipments. Any application requiring lightweight rigidity and impact protection benefits from this product's performance.
Are 18x18 pads recyclable and eco-friendly?
Absolutely. These pads are manufactured from recycled kraft fibreboard, making them fully recyclable and compostable. They're ideal for environmentally-conscious businesses seeking sustainable packaging solutions without sacrificing durability or protection.
How many pads do I need per shipment?
Usage varies by application: envelopes typically need one pad per item, while cartons may need one pad as a top layer. A case of 250 pads accommodates 250 envelopes or mixed-use applications. Most businesses reorder quarterly based on shipment volume.
