Do I need any special equipment to use Instapak Quick® RT bags?
No. Unlike traditional Instapak systems, Instapak Quick® RT requires zero equipment. Simply place the bag in your carton, add items, and the chemicals activate automatically at room temperature. No heating units, compressors, or electricity needed, use for mobile operations and multiple warehouse locations.
How does the foam activation work without a heating unit?
The polyurethane foam components are pre-mixed and sealed within the bag. When exposed to room temperature (65°F-90°F), they chemically react and expand to fill available space, creating custom protective cushioning. Activation takes just minutes without any external power or intervention.
What happens if the temperature is outside the recommended range?
Instapak Quick® RT is optimized for 65°F-90°F operation. Below 65°F, expansion may be slow or incomplete. Above 90°F, expansion may be too rapid. For consistent results, store and activate bags within the recommended temperature range.
Is cleanup required after using these foam bags?
No cleanup is necessary. The polyurethane foam remains contained within the bag and hardens as it cures. Simply seal the carton and ship, there are no residues, chemicals to dispose of, or equipment to clean, significantly reducing packaging labor costs.
