Common questions
How does this tape perform on corrugated cardboard in a high-speed dispenser?
The 3M 764 rubber adhesive bonds instantly on contact with corrugated surfaces, no pressure or drying time required. Its instant-stick formulation is optimized for automated tape dispensers and hand-applied sealing, ensuring consistent adhesion at line speeds without slippage or curl.
Will this tape yellow or degrade if exposed to abrasion or solvents?
No. The vinyl backing maintains vivid white color even under abrasion and solvent exposure, resisting weathering, UV fading, and chemical degradation. This durability extends seal integrity throughout warehouse storage and shipping environments.
Is this tape compatible with standard 2-inch tape dispensers?
Yes. The 2-inch width and standard 3-inch core fit all industry-standard manual and pneumatic tape dispensers. The 5.0 mil thickness provides optimal tension without binding or tearing during dispensing.
What surfaces does this general-purpose tape adhere to most reliably?
The rubber adhesive sticks reliably to corrugated cardboard, kraft paper, plastic film, and most metal surfaces. For optimal adhesion, ensure surfaces are clean and dry before application. Avoid extremely dusty, oily, or powdered substrates.
