Common questions
Will this tape work with my dispenser equipment?
Yes. The 2" width and standard crepe paper backing are compatible with most industrial tape dispensers used in packing operations. The 5.8 mil thickness feeds smoothly without jamming or adhesive buildup.
How long can this tape stay on before removal?
The 3M 225 delivers clean removal up to 30 days, allowing extended masking periods without residue or adhesive transfer, essential for multi-stage packing and case sealing workflows.
Does this tape resist outdoor weather conditions?
Absolutely. The silver-coated crepe backing reflects UV light while resisting moisture, solvents, and temperature extremes up to 200°F. It's engineered for marine, outdoor, and industrial environments.
What prevents slivering during unmasking?
The 5.8 mil crepe paper backing with rubber adhesive is designed to prevent slivering and adhesive transfer during removal, maintaining clean edges and protecting your finished cases from damage.
