Common questions
What actually fits inside a 30x36" bag?
The listed size is 30x36". Plan for contents slightly smaller than the nominal size — the usable interior runs a bit under the listed measurement once the bag takes shape around what you load into it.
How does 8 mil compare with lighter or heavier film?
A mil is one-thousandth of an inch, so 8 mil film is 8/1000" thick — 4 mil film, for example, is twice the film thickness of 2 mil. Heavier film of the same material stands up to punctures and rough handling better; lighter film costs less per bag and packs tighter.
Can I swap PB8814 for the next size up or down?
Not as an exact replacement. The closest sizes in this line are 24x30" and 36x48" (same 8 mil film), and the same 30x36" size is also stocked in 1 and 3 mil. Before switching, match the listed dimensions, 8 mil thickness, and case count — then reorder by exact SKU PB8814.
What do I need to seal these, and what does a full order look like? And can I use them for food?
These are open-top bags — close them with a heat sealer, bag tape, twist ties, or staples, whichever fits your workflow. This listing is sold as one case of 50 bags — roughly $2.65 per bag at the current case price (confirm the live price before ordering). Orders ship from Packrift's five US warehouse regions (Central IL, NE PA, S TX, SE GA, and W CA); delivery options and timing are shown at checkout. On food use: poly film like this is commonly used in food packaging, and the manufacturer spec sheet for this item lists "FDA/USDA Compliant: Yes - Food Grade Approved". Food-contact compliance is still certified per product lot, so check the spec sheet or contact us for lot documentation before direct food contact.
