Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and how does it perform compared to higher ratings?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 lbs/inch is the compression strength rating, strong enough for typical 3-4 tier pallet stacks in standard warehouse conditions. ECT-32 is the industry standard for single-wall layer pads; upgrading to ECT-44 or double-wall is only necessary for heavy loads (>1,500 lbs per tier) or multi-week storage.
Why use layer pads instead of plastic slip sheets?
Corrugated pads cost 40-60% less per unit than plastic, are fully recyclable, and provide grip to prevent load shifting during transport. They're ideal for most B2B fulfillment; plastic is only preferred for damp environments or reusable pallet programs.
Will 40x42" sheets fit my 40x48" pallets?
Yes. The 40x42" dimension fits standard GMA 40x48" pallets with 3" overhang on the 48" side, which is ideal for strapping and prevents shifting. If you need full 40x48" coverage, ask about custom sizing.
How many bundles do I need and what volume discounts apply?
One bundle (5 sheets) covers 5 pallet layers. Most warehouses order by the case (20-50 bundles) for monthly operations. Contact our team for volume pricing, bulk orders of 200+ bundles typically unlock 10-15% cost reductions.
