About this item
SKU THT119 — 1476' × 8.66", Wax, Black. Sold as a case of 12, shipped from US warehouses.
wax thermal transfer ribbons engineered for Zebra, Sato, and Datamax printers. This case of 12 rolls delivers sharp, high-definition barcodes and shipping labels while extending printhead life with Printhead Saver and anti-static coatings. Lower print temperatures, faster speeds (up to 12 IPS), and smudge-resistant output reduce operational costs.
Thermal shipping labels: Good fit for 4x6 shipping labels, direct thermal printers, thermal-transfer printers, color-coded shipments, carton labels, and warehouse shipping stations. These labels help shipping, warehouse, ecommerce, compliance, and fulfillment teams match the right label format to cartons, pallets, paperwork, printer type, and outbound shipping workflows.
Common questions
What printer brands are compatible with this thermal transfer ribbon?
This wax ribbon is designed for use with Zebra, Sato, and Datamax thermal transfer printers. The 8.66" width and universal thermal transfer spool fit standard printers from these manufacturers. Always verify your specific printer model for compatibility before ordering.
How does the Printhead Saver coating reduce costs?
The Printhead Saver and anti-static back coating minimize friction and heat stress on thermal printheads during operation, extending printhead lifespan significantly. This reduces costly printhead replacements and downtime, delivering faster ROI on ribbon purchases.
Can this ribbon print at higher speeds without quality loss?
Yes. The wax formulation's high sensitivity allows printing at speeds up to 12 IPS at lower temperatures without compromising barcode readability or image quality. This increases throughput while maintaining dark, smudge-resistant prints on both rotated and non-rotated applications.
How many labels can one ribbon produce?
Output depends on label size and print density. The 1476-foot ribbon length per spool accommodates thousands of standard labels. Most operations using 4x6 shipping labels get 200-250+ labels per ribbon. Calculate based on your specific label dimensions for exact yield.
