Common questions
Can polyester strapping replace steel strapping in my packaging process?
Yes. This polyester strapping is strong enough to replace steel for most medium-duty and heavy-duty applications. It retains tension longer, resists corrosion, and costs up to 40% less. Verify your specific load requirements and strapping machine compatibility before switching.
What sealing methods work with this smooth polyester strapping?
This smooth polyester strapping can be sealed using serrated seals or sandpaper seals. Ensure your sealing equipment is compatible with.028 gauge polyester before purchasing. Smooth strapping provides a clean finish and professional appearance.
How much weight reduction will I see versus steel strapping?
This polyester strapping delivers an 80% weight reduction compared to steel strapping of equivalent strength. This lighter weight reduces worker fatigue, lowers shipping costs per roll, and improves ergonomics in high-volume packaging operations.
Is this polyester strapping suitable for outdoor or moisture-heavy environments?
Yes. Unlike steel strapping, polyester is non-corrosive and ideal for humid, wet, or corrosive environments. It won't rust, stain cargo, or degrade from salt exposure, making it use for export shipments and outdoor storage applications.
