Common questions
Are these seals DOT/TSA compliant for interstate shipping?
Yes. The consecutively numbered design and tamper-evident acetal mechanism meet DOT and TSA requirements for trailer sealing and cross-border transportation. Verify specific regulatory requirements for your jurisdiction.
What makes the acetal locking mechanism tamper-resistant?
The acetal polymer resists cutting and prying, and the ratcheting design prevents accidental loosening. Once cinched, the seal cannot be opened without breaking, providing visual evidence of tampering.
Can I adjust the seal length after installation?
No. Once pulled tight and locked, the seal is one-time use and cannot be reopened or readjusted. This is intentional for security and audit compliance. Select the appropriate tightness during initial installation.
Will these seals perform in extreme weather?
Yes. The all-plastic construction withstands temperature extremes from sub-zero cold to high heat without brittleness or degradation, making them ideal for year-round outdoor shipping and storage.
