Common questions
What does 120 gauge mean, and how much weight can this film hold?
Gauge measures film thickness, 120 gauge is 1.2 mils thick, providing durability for loads up to 4,000 lbs. This thickness balances puncture resistance with stretchability, preventing film breaks during wrapping while maintaining excellent load retention.
Why is cast film quieter than blown film?
Cast film is produced through a flat-die extrusion process that creates a smoother surface, reducing the noise generated during unwinding by up to 75%. This is critical in busy warehouses where operator fatigue and noise complaints are concerns.
Can I use this with my existing hand stretch film dispenser?
Yes, this 15" film is compatible with standard manual dispensers, including Packrift models SFDIS259, SFDIS277, and SFDIS278. Check your dispenser width specifications before ordering.
How much does this film stretch, and why does that matter?
This cast film stretches up to 250%, meaning one roll wraps more loads with less material waste compared to lower-stretch alternatives. Higher stretch reduces per-load film costs and environmental impact while maintaining load retention and puncture resistance.
