Common questions
Will this tape work on my existing 2" tape dispenser?
Yes. This Tape Logic orange carton sealing tape is compatible with all standard 2" handheld and mounted tape dispensers. The core diameter accommodates universal dispenser brackets, ensuring use with your current packing line setup.
How does the 2.2 mil thickness compare to heavier-duty tape options?
The 2.2 mil gauge provides excellent balance for most carton sealing applications, strong enough to prevent box opening during shipping yet economical for high-volume lines. For exceptionally heavy boxes (25+ lbs) or extreme temperature environments, consider 3.1 mil alternatives; for standard cases under 20 lbs, 2.2 mil delivers optimal seal strength with cost savings.
Does orange tape provide better visibility than standard clear tape?
Absolutely. The bright orange color is instantly visible in warehouse lighting and automated sortation systems, reducing misroutes and improving pick accuracy. This is especially valuable when color-coding by shipment priority, carrier, or destination, eliminating manual label checks and accelerating throughput.
What adhesive properties should I expect on corrugated cartons?
The acrylic adhesive bonds immediately upon light hand pressure, eliminating the curing time required by natural rubber adhesives. This means faster line speeds, fewer jams, and consistent seals even on cold or recycled cardboard with varying surface porosity, critical for maintaining productivity on automated equipment.
