Common questions
Will this tape work with standard packing line dispensers?
Yes. Scotch® 371 tape features standard 3-inch core compatibility and is engineered for smooth dispenser operation across manual and automated packing equipment without jamming or adhesive transfer issues.
How does the 1.9 mil thickness impact sealing performance?
The 1.9 mil polypropylene backing provides optimal thickness for consistent adhesion and conformability to irregular box surfaces while maintaining cost efficiency. It balances tear resistance with flexibility for reliable case sealing without excess material waste.
Is this tape waterproof for outdoor storage or moisture-heavy environments?
Yes. The hot melt rubber adhesive and polypropylene backing are fully waterproof and weather-resistant, making this tape suitable for covered outdoor storage, humid facilities, and climate-variable shipping routes without adhesion loss or peeling.
What's the adhesion hold time for sealed cartons?
Scotch® 371 develops immediate tackiness upon application and achieves full adhesive strength within 24 hours. It maintains consistent hold without drying out or cracking, even in temperature fluctuations common in warehouse and logistics environments.
