Common questions
Will this tape work with my existing 2-inch tape dispenser?
Yes. 3M™ 373+ is engineered for standard 2-inch tape guns and dispensers. The easy unwind formulation ensures smooth feed without slipping, jamming, or unraveling mid-cycle, critical for maintaining line throughput.
How does 373+ perform on recycled corrugated compared to standard tape?
The extra-sticky hot melt adhesive creates immediate aggressive bond to low-surface-energy recycled corrugated without requiring surface preparation. This reduces seal failures and rework compared to standard pressure-sensitive tapes, lowering cost-per-case on recycled substrates.
What's the edge tear and split resistance benefit for my packing line?
The 2.6 mil polypropylene backing resists edge tearing during application and transit, preventing tape failure that exposes carton contents. This durability reduces customer complaints, damage claims, and carton reprocessing on your line.
How many cartons will one case of 36 rolls seal?
Each 55-yard roll seals approximately 25-30 cartons (assuming 2 seals per box). A case of 36 rolls delivers approximately 900-1,080 sealed cartons, depending on box size and sealing pattern. Exact coverage depends on your line's tape usage per case.
