Common questions
Will this tape work with my existing carton sealing dispenser?
Yes. Scotch® 371 is engineered for core compatibility with standard 3-inch core industrial tape dispensers. The 2" width and consistent roll construction ensure smooth feed and reliable adhesive application without jamming or alignment issues.
How does the 1.9 mil thickness balance cost and performance?
The 1.9 mil thickness provides sufficient adhesive surface and tear resistance for repetitive volume sealing while reducing cost-per-roll compared to thicker alternatives. For high-speed lines, this thickness delivers the strength needed without waste, maximizing your packaging ROI.
Can this tape seal boxes in cold storage or outdoor conditions?
Absolutely. The polypropylene backing and hot melt rubber adhesive are formulated to resist moisture, temperature fluctuations, and humidity. The adhesive will not peel or crack in cold warehouses, freezer environments, or outdoor staging areas.
What's the adhesive failure rate in high-volume production?
Scotch® 371 features a consistent adhesive system designed to prevent peel, crack, and dry-out across thousands of seals. The conformable backing ensures consistent pressure and adhesion to varied carton board surfaces, reducing reject rates and line stoppages.
