Common questions
Will this tape work with our dispenser?
Yes. The 2" width and cardboard core are industry-standard dimensions compatible with all major tape dispensers, handheld guns, desktop models, and integrated packing line equipment. Verify your dispenser accommodates 2.5 mil thickness for optimal edge tear performance.
Does Scotch® 373 adhere to recycled-content cartons?
Yes, this is a key strength. The synthetic rubber adhesive bonds instantly to contaminated or dusty recycled cardboard without surface preparation, eliminating line slowdowns caused by adhesion failures on high-recycled-content boxes.
How much tape is on each roll and how many cases do we need?
Each roll contains 110 linear yards. At 2" width, one roll seals approximately 50-60 cartons (varies by box size). Order cases strategically: 36 rolls per case covers typical high-volume operations for 2-3 weeks, depending on throughput.
What makes this tape resistant to edge tearing?
The 2.5 mil polypropylene backing is engineered to resist splitting under tension, especially at roll edges exposed to pressure from dispenser rollers. The synthetic rubber adhesive maintains flexibility without cracking, preventing tears during application and box handling.
