Common questions
Is this tape compatible with our existing carton sealing dispensers?
Yes. The 3M 311+ comes wound on a standard 3" core, making it compatible with most industrial carton sealing tape dispensers used in packing line operations. Verify your dispenser's core size (typically 3") before ordering.
How does 3M 311+ perform in cold storage environments?
3M 311+ is specifically engineered for cold and damp temperature conditions. Its acrylic adhesive maintains strong bond strength even at freezing temperatures, preventing seal failure during storage or transport in refrigerated environments.
What is the quiet unwind feature and why does it matter?
Quiet unwind technology reduces noise and vibration during tape application, lowering operator fatigue on high-speed lines and improving workplace safety. This feature also minimizes stress on dispenser mechanisms, extending equipment life.
How many cases do we need for a typical month of production?
A standard case (6 rolls x 1000 yards = 6000 yards total) typically seals 400 - 600 cartons depending on box size and sealing pattern. Review your monthly volume and box dimensions, then contact our specialists for a customized supply recommendation.
