Common questions
Will this yellow tape work with my existing carton sealing tape dispenser?
Yes. This 3" tape fits all standard single-roll and multi-roll dispensers including handheld models. The core diameter is compatible with H-style, gummed tape, and pneumatic dispensers. Verify your dispenser accepts 3" width tape; consult Packrift's Carton Sealing Tape Dispensers category for compatible equipment.
How does the 2.2 mil thickness compare to standard clear tape for adhesion?
2.2 mil is the industry standard for carton sealing on typical 200-275 lb test corrugated boxes. The acrylic adhesive achieves full bond strength in under 30 seconds without moisture, making it ideal for high-speed packing lines. Thicker gauges (3.1 mil) are needed only for oversized boxes or extreme temperature storage.
Can I use this tape for color-coding multiple shipment types simultaneously?
Absolutely. Combine yellow tape with other Tape Logic colors (red, blue, green, orange, white, black) on separate dispensers to create a visual organization system. Supervisors can assign each color to a carrier service, fulfillment priority, or destination zone, reducing mis-ships by up to 40%.
Is this tape safe for food or pharmaceutical packaging?
No. This polypropylene tape with acrylic adhesive is designed for general carton sealing and does not meet FDA food contact or pharmaceutical compliance standards. For those applications, contact Packrift's specialized tape category or consult our product compliance team.
