About this item

3 in x 55 yd 2.5 mil clear heavy-duty box sealing tape 6-Pack. Seal shipping boxes, moving cartons, and storage boxes. Sold as a 6-pack (6 rolls per pack). Common questions
Will this tape adhere to recycled-content cardboard boxes?
Yes. Scotch® 373's synthetic rubber adhesive is specifically engineered for instant adhesion to high-recycled-content cartons, a common challenge with standard packaging tapes. The moisture and abrasion resistance ensure reliable sealing even on damp or textured recycled fibers.
What dispenser does this 3-inch tape require?
This tape uses a standard 3-inch core and is compatible with most industrial tape dispensers rated for 3-inch rolls. No special adapters or core modifications are needed; rolls fit directly into your existing line equipment.
How does 2.5 mil thickness impact sealing performance and tape waste?
The 2.5 mil thickness balances durability and economy, thicker than budget tapes but optimized for high-speed lines to minimize edge splits and delamination. This reduces waste per case and lowers total cost of ownership compared to lighter gauges that require overlapping or second passes.
Is this tape suitable for cold storage or outdoor shipping?
Yes. The polypropylene backing and synthetic rubber adhesive maintain performance in moisture-heavy and temperature-variable environments. Abrasion and moisture resistance ensure reliable sealing for frozen goods, outdoor staging, and climate-variable warehouses.
