Common questions
Will this tape work with my existing water-activated dispenser system?
Yes. The 72mm width and standard core are compatible with all commercial water-activated dispensers. We recommend checking your dispenser's maximum roll diameter specifications. Our water-activated tape dispensers are designed specifically for Central® 235 rolls and available for upgrade.
How does water-activated adhesion compare to pressure-sensitive tape for case sealing?
Water-activated adhesive creates a molecular bond with the carton material, providing permanent adhesion that doesn't fail under temperature extremes or humidity changes. Pressure-sensitive tape relies on surface contact and can lift in cold environments, a critical issue in cold storage operations.
What's the practical coverage and cost per box with 450' rolls?
A 450' roll seals approximately 350-400 standard cartons (depending on closure pattern), translating to roughly $0.08-$0.12 per case sealed. This makes Central® 235 economical for high-volume lines while delivering premium seal integrity.
Is this tape truly recyclable and eco-friendly?
Yes. The embedded fiberglass yarns can be removed during your cardboard repulping process without contaminating the pulp stream. This design supports ISO 14000 environmental certifications and reduces landfill waste compared to pressure-sensitive alternatives.
