Common questions
Is this tape compatible with standard filament tape dispensers?
Yes, the 3/4" width fits all Scotchpro™ and universal filament tape dispensers. The 60-yard length per roll reduces changeout frequency on high-speed lines. View compatible dispenser options in our Filament Tape Dispensers category.
What surfaces does the synthetic rubber adhesive bond most effectively to?
This tape adheres firmly to corrugated cardboard, kraft paper, poly-coated boxes, and plastic films. The adhesive maintains performance in cold storage, humid environments, and on dusty/aged surfaces, critical for export shipments and cross-dock operations.
How does the 6.0 mil thickness compare to standard packaging tape?
The 6.0 mil thickness with glass yarn reinforcement provides 40% greater puncture resistance than standard 2.0 mil tape while using less material per application, lowering total cost per case seal and reducing waste.
Will this tape hold up in high-speed packing line environments?
Yes. The glass yarn filaments prevent tearing under tension, the synthetic rubber adhesive provides instant grab and sustained hold, and the clear backing allows barcode visibility. This combination minimizes jams, re-tapes, and line stoppages on automated equipment.
