Common questions
What makes glass yarn filament reinforcement better than standard carton sealing tape?
Glass yarn filaments run continuously along the tape's length, providing very high tensile strength that prevents tearing under load-bearing conditions. This reinforcement is essential for heavy packages, stacked cases, or applications requiring structural support, standard tape lacks this load-carrying capacity and may fail under pressure.
Is this tape compatible with our existing filament tape dispensers?
Yes. This tape features a standard 3-inch core and is designed to work with Scotch® filament tape dispensers. We recommend verifying your dispenser model against our compatibility guide or consulting our technical team to ensure optimal performance on your packing line.
How does the aggressive adhesive perform in humid or cold storage environments?
The synthetic rubber adhesive is specifically formulated to maintain balanced performance across temperature and humidity variations. The transparent polypropylene backing also provides excellent moisture resistance, preventing adhesive degradation in damp warehouse conditions or during transit through variable climates.
What's the difference between L-clip and C-clip reinforcement applications?
L-clip closures use tape to seal the primary flap overlap on box bottoms and tops. C-clip reinforcements add secondary tape across the side seams or edges for additional structural support on heavy loads. This tape's tensile strength and aggressive adhesion perform excellently for both applications, providing secure case sealing and extended holding power throughout the distribution cycle.
