Common questions
Is this tape compatible with standard filament tape dispensers?
Yes. Scotch® Filament Tape 898 is engineered for compatibility with all major filament tape dispensers, including manual and pneumatic models. The 1-inch width and roll core diameter fit standard dispenser mechanisms without modification.
How does glass yarn reinforcement improve packing line performance?
Glass filaments provide bi-directional strength that prevents tape splitting or curling during high-speed application. This reduces jams, improves first-pass seal quality, and eliminates costly line stoppages caused by tape breakage or poor adhesion.
Will this tape hold on cold, wet, or textured carton surfaces?
Yes. The aggressive synthetic rubber adhesive formula is specifically formulated to bond reliably on damp surfaces, frosted packaging, and high-friction cardboard. The transparent backing resists moisture and abrasion, maintaining seal integrity in cold storage environments.
What case quantities are available, and can I mix skus in bulk orders?
This SKU ships as a case of 6 rolls. For volume packing operations, Packrift offers tiered case pricing and customized mixed-sku pallets. Contact your account manager for bulk discounts and dedicated production line allocation.
