Common questions
Will this tape work with my current dispenser equipment?
Yes. The 6.0 mil polypropylene backing is designed for core compatibility with standard 3" dispensers. Verify your dispenser specs using our Filament Tape Dispensers guide to confirm optimal performance and minimize downtime.
How does the glass yarn reinforcement improve sealing performance?
Glass yarn filaments provide directional strength that resists tearing and splitting under pressure, preventing case failures during handling and shipping. This reinforcement allows supervisors to use less tape per seal without compromising hold strength.
Does this tape maintain adhesion in humid or wet conditions?
Yes. The synthetic rubber adhesive and polypropylene backing deliver excellent moisture and humidity resistance, ensuring reliable sealing in cold storage, outdoor staging, and high-moisture packing environments.
What's the cost advantage compared to non-filament carton sealing tape?
The 897 requires minimal tape length per case seal due to holding power from glass yarn reinforcement and synthetic rubber adhesive, directly reducing per-case tape costs while improving operational efficiency and reducing case failure rates.
