Common questions
Will this tape work with my roll dispenser equipment?
Yes. The smooth crepe paper backing is specifically treated to resist splitting and backing separation during dispenser use. Standard 1 1/2" core compatibility ensures use with most industrial dispensing systems used on packing lines.
How long does this tape hold at elevated temperatures?
3M 234 withstands continuous temperatures up to 250°F for 30 minutes, making it suitable for medium-temperature bake operations. The saturant-treated backing prevents adhesive degradation in moisture-rich and solvent-exposed environments common to curing cycles.
Does this tape leave clean paint lines without adhesive transfer?
Absolutely. The rubber adhesive formula is engineered to provide sharp paint line definition on powder-coated and stainless steel surfaces while minimizing residue upon removal. This reduces case preparation time and improves finished product appearance.
What's the advantage of buying a 12-pack case versus individual rolls?
Bulk case purchasing reduces per-roll cost, ensures consistent supply for high-volume packing lines, minimizes reorder frequency, and simplifies inventory management. One case typically covers standard weekly requirements for mid-size production operations, reducing downtime from tape stock-outs.
