Common questions
Will this tape work with my automatic case sealing dispenser?
Yes. The 6.3 mil crepe paper backing is engineered for smooth feeding through standard tape dispensers without bunching, chattering, or edge misalignment. The rubber-based adhesive activates consistently at standard application pressure, ensuring reliable core compatibility with most commercial packing line equipment.
How does this tape perform on corrugated cardboard with irregular surfaces?
conformability is a hallmark of 3M 301+ tape. The crepe paper backing naturally flexes to follow fluted cardboard profiles and overlapping seam areas, creating a tight, wrinkle-free seal that resists peeling or lifting during handling and transport.
Does the yellow color provide any functional benefit beyond visibility?
The yellow pigmentation enhances color-coding capabilities for batch identification and product routing on high-throughput packing lines. It also provides visual confirmation of proper tape application and seal coverage during quality control inspections.
What makes the rubber-based adhesive to synthetic alternatives for case sealing?
Rubber-based adhesive delivers instant tack and sustained holding power on porous surfaces like corrugated cardboard, eliminating the application delay common with acrylic formulas. It maintains adhesion strength across temperature fluctuations and resists re-opening from vibration during shipping.
