Common questions
Is this tape compatible with my automatic tape dispenser?
Yes. The 3M™ 2517 Flatback Tape is engineered for machine dispensing and works with standard tape dispensers on automated packing lines. The flatback design ensures smooth feeding without binding or jamming.
Will this tape hold securely on humid shipments?
Absolutely. The kraft paper backing combined with rubber adhesive provides excellent moisture resistance, maintaining strong adhesion even in high-humidity warehouses or when sealing packages destined for coastal or tropical regions.
What's the core compatibility for this tape?
This tape features a standard 2-inch core compatible with most industrial tape dispensers. The kraft flatback design sits flush on the roll, eliminating wrapping issues common with other tape types.
Can this tape withstand temperature fluctuations during shipping?
Yes. With temperature resistance up to 300°F for 30 minutes, this tape maintains adhesion integrity through normal shipping conditions and brief heat exposure without degradation or delamination.
