Common questions
Will this tape work with my current case sealing dispenser?
Yes, 3M™ 2517 Flatback Tape is machine-dispensable and compatible with standard H-type and automatic case sealing equipment. We recommend consulting the included data sheet or your dispenser manufacturer to confirm core diameter compatibility (typically 3-inch cores).
How does this tape perform in cold storage and humid conditions?
The rubber adhesive and kraft paper backing are specifically formulated to resist moisture and maintain adhesion in humid warehouse and cold storage environments, making this tape reliable for temperature-sensitive and high-moisture shipping scenarios.
What is the typical coverage per case and cost per roll?
Each case contains 24 rolls with 60 yards of coverage per roll, totaling 1,440 linear yards per case. This translates to approximately 180 lineal feet of sealing per roll, sufficient for 45-60 standard cartons depending on closure method and overlap.
Can I use this tape for heavy-duty bundling and splicing applications?
Absolutely, the 6.5 mil thickness and strong rubber adhesive make this tape excellent for splicing linear boards, bundling multiple packages, and holding applications beyond standard case sealing. The paper backing maintains straight lines and shapes, reducing rework.
