Common questions
Is this tape compatible with standard tape dispensers on my packing line?
Yes. The 3M 2517 Flatback Tape is machine-dispensable and compatible with most automated and manual tape applicators. Its consistent 2-inch width and 6.5-mil thickness ensure reliable feeding and clean, straight lines during application.
How does moisture resistance impact case sealing performance?
The rubber adhesive and kraft paper backing resist moisture absorption, preventing tape failure or adhesion loss in humid warehouse environments. This ensures your sealed cases maintain integrity throughout storage and transit, reducing damage claims.
What core compatibility should I verify before ordering?
This tape comes on standard cores compatible with most 2-inch tape dispensers. Verify your dispenser accepts 2-inch diameter cores and can handle 6.5-mil thickness. Contact our technical support if you have non-standard equipment.
Why order a 12-pack case instead of individual rolls?
Bulk ordering reduces per-roll cost, minimizes changeover downtime on your packing line, and ensures consistent adhesive quality across production runs. A case of 12 rolls (720 yards total) typically sustains mid-to-high volume operations for extended periods without supply gaps.
