Common questions
Will this tape work with our existing carton sealing dispensers?
Yes. The 3M 256 flatback tape features standard 3-inch cores and 2-inch width that integrate directly with most commercial packing line dispensers. The 6.7 mil gauge ensures smooth unwind and consistent adhesion without jamming or slippage.
Can we print or mark the white flatback surface for identification?
Yes. The white flatback surface is fully printable with standard flexographic inks and accepts ballpoint pens, felt-tip markers, and rubber stamp impressions, enabling real-time case identification and color-coding systems.
How does this tape perform in heated sealing environments?
This tape maintains full adhesion and structural integrity at temperatures up to 200°F for 1 hour. However, it is not recommended for continuous outdoor exposure or extended high-temperature applications.
What surfaces will this tape adhere to reliably?
The rubber adhesive formula bonds securely to paper, film, fabric, and yarn substrates, common in corrugated carton sealing, product bundling, and mixed-material packaging operations. Adhesion performs optimally on clean, dry surfaces.
