Common questions
Will this foam tape damage delicate surfaces or finishes?
No. The flexible polyethylene foam and rubber adhesive are designed for non-destructive mounting on most indoor surfaces. Test on inconspicuous areas first, particularly on painted or coated finishes, as adhesive strength varies by surface texture and cleanliness.
What surfaces does this double-sided foam tape bond most effectively?
This tape conforms to plastic, metal, wood, glass, and composite surfaces. For optimal adhesion, ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust or oils. Avoid application on wet, oily, or extremely porous substrates.
Can this foam tape provide cushioning protection during shipping?
Yes. The 1/16" polyethylene foam thickness absorbs vibration and minor impacts, making it suitable for securing precision goods internally. For maximum protection, combine with additional external cushioning materials.
Is this tape reusable or permanent?
Once applied and fully bonded (24 hours recommended), this is a permanent mounting solution. Removal may damage surfaces. For temporary or repositionable applications, consider alternative low-tack foam tapes.
