Common questions
Will this tape work with our existing tape dispensers?
Yes. Scotch® 600 Transparent Tape features a standard 1-inch cardboard core and is compatible with most manual and electric tape dispensers used on packing lines. Verify your dispenser accepts 1/2" width rolls before ordering.
How does the acrylic adhesive perform on corrugated cardboard?
The acrylic formulation provides strong, reliable adhesion to corrugated and kraft surfaces at room temperature with immediate grab. Adhesion strengthens over 24-48 hours, making it ideal for case sealing operations where boxes are handled immediately after sealing.
What is the shelf life, and does this tape yellow over time?
Scotch® 600 is formulated to resist yellowing and drying out, maintaining clarity and adhesive performance for extended storage. Store in cool, dry conditions (60-80°F, 40-60% humidity) for optimal shelf life of 12+ months.
How many cases should a packing line supervisor order for monthly supply?
Order based on average daily usage. Each case provides 432 total yards (12 rolls 36 yards). A typical single-shift packing line using 2-3 rolls daily requires 1-2 cases monthly. Review dispenser change frequency and tape consumption rates specific to your operation.
