Common questions
Will 3M 463 work with our existing tape dispenser equipment?
Yes. The 1/2" hand roll core is compatible with standard hand roll dispensers and most automatic tape application systems used in packing lines. Verify core diameter (typically 3" or 6") matches your equipment before ordering.
What paper stocks does this tape bond to reliably?
3M 463 delivers excellent adhesion to kraft paper, corrugated cardboard, glassine, and coated papers. High-tack acrylic ensures consistent bonding across most paper grades used in industrial packaging, with performance on uncoated and densified substrates.
How does low-temperature performance impact our cold-storage operations?
The high-tack acrylic formulation maintains peel strength and adhesion integrity in cold environments, making it ideal for frozen food packaging, refrigerated case sealing, and low-temperature warehousing applications where standard tapes fail.
What's the typical shelf life and storage requirement for these hand rolls?
Store in cool, dry conditions (50-77°F, <65% humidity). Unopened cases maintain full adhesive performance for 24 months. Keep rolls on dispensers to protect the adhesive liner from dust and humidity contamination on active packing lines.
