Common questions
Is this tape compatible with standard tape dispensers used on packing lines?
Yes. Scotch® 600 is engineered for compatibility with both handheld and automatic case-sealing dispensers. The 3/4" width and standard core diameter ensure use with most industrial tape dispensing equipment. Verify your dispenser specifications using our Dispensers guide to confirm optimal performance.
Will this tape yellow or degrade in storage or during shipment?
No. The acrylic adhesive formulation specifically resists yellowing and drying out, maintaining seal quality and appearance throughout extended storage and climate-variable shipping scenarios. This durability reduces waste from rejected seals and ensures consistent brand presentation on delivered cases.
What surfaces does this tape adhere to reliably?
Scotch® 600 provides excellent adhesion to corrugated cardboard, kraft paper, coated materials, and most industrial packaging substrates. The 2.3 mil thickness and acrylic adhesive balance initial tack with long-term hold, preventing premature edge lifting on sealed cases during transit vibration.
How many cases of tape do we need per production cycle?
Each case contains 12 rolls of 36 yards each (432 yards total per case). Calculate based on tape length per case seal, daily case volume, and production schedule. Our technical team can help optimize dispenser roll-out frequency and case ordering to minimize downtime and storage footprint.
