Common questions
What adhesive is used, and will it damage packaging materials?
Scotch® Transparent Tape 600 uses acrylic adhesive that bonds securely to cardboard, kraft, and poly-coated surfaces without damage. The formula resists yellowing and residue buildup, making it safe for high-visibility applications where appearance matters.
Is this tape compatible with standard tape dispensers?
Yes. The 3/4" width and standard core diameter work with all commercial Scotch® dispensers. Packrift stocks compatible handheld and benchtop models to optimize your packing line workflow.
How long does this tape last once opened, and will it dry out?
The acrylic adhesive resists drying out, extending shelf life for opened rolls. A 12-pack case typically supports 3-5 business days of standard packing line volume, ensuring fresh tape throughout your cycle.
What's the difference between 2.3 mil and thicker tape options?
2.3 mil provides optimal balance between durability and cost efficiency for case sealing. It resists splitting under normal box movement while maintaining consistent adhesion. For heavier industrial applications, Packrift offers reinforced alternatives.
