Common questions
Will this tape stick to wet or damp cardboard?
Yes. The rubber adhesive bonds on contact even on slightly moist surfaces, though best results occur on clean, dry substrate. For consistently wet environments, ensure boxes are dried or use in conjunction with surface prep procedures.
Is this tape compatible with standard 3M tape dispensers?
Yes. The 1" core is compatible with all standard 3M Scotch tape dispensers, ensuring use into existing packing line workflows without equipment changes.
How does this perform with chemical exposure or outdoor storage?
The 5.2 mil vinyl backing resists acids, alkaline chemicals, moisture, and weathering, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor storage conditions and sealed shipments exposed to industrial environments.
What makes this better than standard clear packing tape for case sealing?
The 5.2 mil thickness, enhanced rubber adhesive, and chemical resistance provide durability and adhesion on high-speed lines. No dripping, drying, or cleanup means faster throughput and less production downtime compared to standard acrylic-based alternatives.
