Common questions
Is this tape compatible with standard 1-inch tape dispensers used on packing lines?
Yes. The standard 1-inch core is fully compatible with all Scotch® Tape dispensers and universal tape applicators. Packraft offers a complete range of compatible dispensers, view our dispenser selection to optimize your sealing workflow.
Will this tape yellow or degrade when exposed to warehouse light and temperature changes?
No. Scotch® Magic™ Tape 810 features advanced non-yellowing formulation that resists degradation from UV exposure, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. Sealed packages maintain clarity and professional appearance throughout storage and distribution cycles.
How does the 2.5 mil thickness perform under high-speed packing line tension?
The 2.5 mil synthetic formulation provides optimal balance between tensile strength and smooth dispensing. It resists splitting and tearing under automated applicator speeds while pulling cleanly off the roll without jamming or bunching, reducing line stoppages.
Can labels and handwritten information be applied over this tape without adhesion issues?
Yes. The transparent, wrinkle-free surface accepts pen, pencil, and marker without compromising the permanent adhesive bond. This makes it ideal for sealing cases that require shipping labels, lot codes, or compliance documentation applied directly to the sealed tape.
