Common questions
Will this tape work in our standard tape dispenser?
Yes. The 1 1/2" width and standard roll configuration fit most industrial tape dispensers. The silicone adhesive provides smooth feed-through without sticking or jamming, ensuring consistent application on your packing line.
Can we use this tape in wave soldering and high-temperature applications?
Absolutely. This tape maintains full integrity up to 500°F, making it ideal for wave soldering, powder coating, and other high-temperature processes. The polyimide film won't degrade, curl, or lose adhesion under extreme heat.
Does the silicone adhesive leave residue on equipment or products?
No. The silicone adhesive is formulated to leave zero residue upon removal. This protects your equipment, prevents buildup on dispensers, and ensures clean results on masked surfaces, critical for semiconductor and electronics assembly.
What makes Kapton® tape to standard masking or electrical tape?
Kapton® polyimide film offers exceptional dielectric strength, abrasion resistance, and chemical compatibility that standard tape cannot match. Its proven track record in automotive sensors, circuit boards, and fiber optics means fewer failures, less rework, and lower per-unit costs over the tape's lifecycle.
