Common questions
Does this tape work with standard packing line dispensers?
Yes. The 3-inch width and standard core fit most industrial tape dispensers used on packing lines. The clear color allows visibility through the tape for inspection purposes.
How does the adhesive perform on cold, wet corrugated boxes?
The rubber adhesive bonds instantly in cold and moist conditions without requiring pressure-and-hold time, making it ideal for refrigerated shipping operations. The vinyl backing resists moisture absorption and maintains adhesion integrity.
Can this tape be used for color coding if I need multiple colors?
This SKU is clear vinyl, which is ideal for transparent sealing. 3M 471 is available in multiple colors for color-coding systems. Contact support for colored options that match your sorting workflow.
What's the coverage rate per case for typical carton sealing?
Each case provides 108 total yards (3 rolls x 36 yards). Assuming 2-3 inches of tape per carton seal, this case seals approximately 400-700 cases, depending on box size and seal design. Order multiple cases for high-volume operations.
