Common questions
Will this tape adhere to our specific core material and dispenser system?
Yes. Tape Logic 10 mil duct tape features synthetic rubber adhesive formulated for reliable adhesion to cardboard, kraft, plastic, and composite cores. Compatible with all standard 2" tape dispensers and applicators. Test on your specific core material before large-scale deployment to ensure optimal peel strength and seal consistency.
How does the 10 mil thickness compare to thinner alternatives for case sealing?
The 10 mil construction provides 25-40% greater tear resistance and moisture barrier protection versus 6-8 mil alternatives. This thickness maintains adhesion integrity under repeated flexing, vibration, and humidity exposure, reducing case failure rates and protecting contents during transit.
Is this tape suitable for cold or high-temperature warehouse environments?
Tape Logic duct tape performs reliably in environments from 32°F to 160°F. However, adhesion strength peaks at 65-75°F. In extreme cold (<50°F), allow tape to acclimate for 30 minutes before application. In heat-intensive environments (>120°F), test adhesion on your specific packaging to confirm adequate seal strength.
What's the shelf life, and how should we store rolls?
Unopened rolls maintain full adhesive strength for 24 months when stored in cool, dry conditions (55-75°F, <60% humidity). Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Opened rolls should be used within 3-6 months for best performance. Rotate stock using FIFO (first-in-first-out) inventory management.
