Common questions
Will this tape work with standard tape dispensers on our packing line?
Yes. The 2-inch width and standard roll core are fully compatible with most industrial tape dispensers. The embossed vinyl backing unwinds smoothly without binding, and the easy straight-tear design supports high-speed application without operator assistance.
How long does the adhesive hold before it can be removed?
The tape removes cleanly without messy residue for up to one month after application. On painted steel surfaces as hot as 250°F, it achieves full bond strength within one hour, making it suitable for both immediate and delayed removal scenarios.
What surfaces does this blue duct tape adhere to reliably?
This 3M 3903 formulation adheres securely to most surfaces including corrugated cardboard, painted metal, plastic, and rubber. The strong embossed vinyl backing resists dust, dirt, and moisture, ensuring consistent performance across varying box conditions and environmental conditions on packing lines.
Why choose blue tape over standard silver for case sealing?
Blue tape provides high visibility for sealed cases, aiding quality control verification and improving brand presentation. The color-coding helps supervisors quickly identify sealed units during line inspections, reducing errors and supporting chain-of-custody documentation requirements.
