Common questions
What printers are compatible with these thermal transfer ribbons?
These black wax ribbons work with Zebra, Sato, and Datamax brand thermal transfer label printers. Always verify your specific printer model before ordering to ensure compatibility.
How long does one 1476' ribbon roll last?
Usage depends on label size and print frequency. A 4.33" x 1476' roll typically prints thousands of standard shipping labels. The case of 24 provides substantial volume for most mid-to-large warehouse operations, reducing reorder frequency and related costs.
What makes wax ribbon different from resin ribbon?
Wax ribbons are ideal for general-purpose printing on paper and synthetic labels at lower cost. They print at lower temperatures and faster speeds (up to 12 IPS) than resin, making them cost-efficient for high-volume shipping and barcode applications where durability beyond extreme environmental conditions isn't required.
Does this ribbon reduce printhead wear?
Yes. The Printhead Saver technology and anti-static back coating extend thermal printhead lifespan by reducing friction and static buildup. Combined with lower print temperatures, this significantly lowers long-term equipment maintenance and replacement costs for your operation.
