Common questions
How does the coreless design reduce operational costs?
Coreless rolls eliminate cardboard waste (saving disposal costs) and increase capacity per roll by 25-30% versus standard cored tissue, reducing changeover frequency. Facilities typically see 8-12 fewer roll changes per day, translating to significant labor savings and less downtime in high-traffic restrooms.
Is this tissue compatible with standard dispensers?
No. The Scott® 1-Ply Jumbo Coreless Bathroom Tissue requires the Scott® Coreless Jumbo Tissue Dispenser, which uses side-notch arms instead of center spindles. This ensures optimal performance and prevents dispensing issues.
What makes 1-ply tissue suitable for commercial use?
Scott® 1-ply tissue is engineered for durability and softness despite lower ply count. The jumbo capacity compensates by reducing user frustration from frequent roll changes, while maintaining compliance with commercial restroom standards and reducing per-roll costs by 15-20%.
How much waste does switching to coreless tissue eliminate?
Each coreless roll eliminates one cardboard tube, reducing cardboard waste by approximately 15 lbs per case. A typical facility using 50 cases monthly saves 750 lbs of cardboard annually, reducing landfill impact and waste management expenses.
