Common questions
What is the maximum load capacity for this 3/8" sisal rope?
This rope has a tensile strength of 865 lbs, making it suitable for moderate-load tying applications. For critical load-bearing applications exceeding 865 lbs, consider upgrading to a thicker diameter or synthetic alternative.
How does sisal perform in outdoor or wet conditions?
Natural sisal fiber deteriorates when exposed to prolonged weather, moisture, and UV sunlight. This product works best for indoor, covered, or short-term outdoor applications. For long-term exterior use, synthetic rope alternatives are recommended.
Why does this rope have a rough texture, and is that beneficial?
The natural rough texture of sisal provides grip and knot-holding strength compared to smooth synthetic ropes. This feature reduces slippage and ensures secure fastening in bundling, tying, and securing operations without additional knot-reinforcement techniques.
Is this 500-foot spool suitable for high-volume industrial operations?
Yes. At 500 feet per spool with cost-effective pricing, this product is ideal for high-volume operations like farms, nurseries, and packaging facilities. Order multiple cases to maintain consistent supply for continuous bundling and tying workflows.
