Common questions
Will these hook dots work with standard packing line dispensers?
Yes. The 5/8" individual dots are engineered for compatibility with most automated and manual dispensers. Pair with matching 5/8" loop dots (sold separately) for complete hook-and-loop fastening. Test dispenser feed settings before full-line deployment.
How many application cycles can a single dot withstand?
Nylon hook dots typically sustain 50-100 reattachment cycles depending on surface material and peel force. For high-cycle returnable containers, monitor adhesion degradation monthly and replace when peel strength drops below 2 lbs.
What surfaces does the self-adhesive backing adhere to most reliably?
These dots achieve optimal adhesion on cardboard, corrugated boxes, kraft paper, and smooth plastics. Test adhesion on slick or coated surfaces before production runs. Cold environments (below 50°F) may reduce initial tack, allow 24 hours for full cure.
Can I use hook dots alone without loop dots?
Hook dots require matching loop dots to function as a fastening system. However, hook dots can temporarily secure products to smooth surfaces if loop material is unavailable. For permanent case sealing, always pair with loop dots to meet quality standards.
