Common questions
Are these loop dots compatible with standard dot dispensers used on packing lines?
Yes, 5/8" loop dots are designed for industry-standard automated dispensers. Verify your dispenser's dot-width spec (typically 5/8" or 3/4") and ensure the core diameter matches your system to prevent jams. We recommend testing one case before high-volume orders.
How many times can these dots be reused after removal?
VELCRO Brand loop dots maintain 80-90% of original adhesion strength through 3-5 reposition cycles under normal handling. After removal, store dots flat on a non-porous surface to prevent dust accumulation. For sealed-case applications, dots are typically single-use; reusability depends on surface cleanliness and hook-side condition.
Will these black loop dots leave residue or damage packaging substrates?
No, the self-adhesive backing is engineered for clean removal without substrate damage on cardboard, plastic, and coated surfaces. Test on a small area first if using on delicate or printed surfaces. Adhesion strength increases over 24 hours, so allow cure time before aggressive handling.
What hook-side product pairs with these loop dots for case sealing?
Use VELCRO Brand hook dots (VEL172 or equivalent 5/8" diameter) or hook-side tape strips to create a complete fastening system. Ensure hook and loop diameters match for optimal peel strength. Hook products are sold separately; verify core compatibility with your dispenser before ordering.
