Common questions
Will VHB tape work with our existing dispenser equipment?
Yes. The kraft paper liner and 1/2" width are standard dispenser-compatible specifications. Verify your dispenser accepts rolls up to 5 yards; most packing line dispensers handle this core size without adjustment.
How does VHB tape perform compared to case sealing adhesives or staples?
VHB delivers adhesion across mixed substrates (metal, plastic, coated cardboard) with zero cure time, apply and seal immediately. It eliminates staple jams, eliminates adhesive mixing, and reduces labor by 30-50% versus liquid adhesives while providing permanent, vibration-resistant bonds.
What's the shelf life, and how should we store rolls?
VHB tape maintains full adhesion for 24 months when stored at room temperature (60 - 80°F) with the kraft liner in place. Keep rolls in original packaging away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent premature adhesive activation.
Can VHB tape handle moisture and temperature swings in cold storage or outdoor shipping?
Yes. This tape is moisture, solvent, and UV resistant with a working range of -40°F to 200°F, making it ideal for refrigerated logistics, outdoor palletizing, and climate-variable warehouse environments.
