Common questions
Will this tape work with our existing tape dispensers?
Yes. The 1/2" width and kraft paper liner are compatible with standard industrial tape dispensers. The 25-mil conformable foam feeds smoothly without bunching or tearing, ensuring consistent application speed on production lines without equipment modifications.
How does VHB™ 4936 perform on uneven case surfaces?
The acrylic foam core conforms to irregular surfaces and mixed substrates, creating full-surface contact even on corrugated boxes with uneven compression. This eliminates adhesion failures that occur with rigid tapes, reducing case failures and rework during palletization and transit.
What core materials does this bond to reliably?
Engineered for metal, glass, plastic, painted substrates, and corrugated cardboard. The dual acrylic adhesive formulation ensures permanent bonding across moisture, temperature, and humidity variations, critical for cases exposed to warehouse and vehicle temperature swings.
Is this tape suitable for cold storage or outdoor shipping cases?
Absolutely. The -40°F to 200°F operating range and moisture/solvent/UV resistance make it ideal for refrigerated logistics, frozen shipments, and outdoor storage. The tape maintains full adhesion strength without brittleness or peeling in extreme conditions where standard tapes fail.
