Common questions
Is this tape compatible with standard automated case sealing dispensers?
Yes. The kraft paper liner is engineered for smooth feed-through on most tape dispensers used in packing lines. Verify your dispenser accepts 3/4" width tape and can handle 62-mil thickness for optimal performance.
How does VHB™ 4956 compare to liquid adhesives for case sealing?
VHB™ tape eliminates cure time, reduces material waste, and provides consistent bond strength immediately. It's faster than sprayed or brushed adhesives, requires no ventilation systems, and leaves no residue on packing equipment.
Will this tape bond to all corrugated and coated substrates?
VHB™ 4956 bonds excellently to cardboard, metal, glass, and most plastics. For optimal adhesion on dusty or oily surfaces, pre-clean with isopropyl alcohol. Test on your specific substrate before full production rollout.
What's the minimum and maximum temperature this tape withstands?
This tape maintains permanent bonding from -40°F to 200°F. It resists thermal cycling, moisture, and UV exposure, making it suitable for both cold storage and heated warehouse environments.
