Mil measures film
1 mil = 0.001 inch. A 4 mil film is twice the nominal thickness of 2 mil film. Thickness alone does not certify puncture resistance, load capacity or food-contact suitability.
Count bags, buy cases
Case counts vary. A 1,000-bag case and a 100-bag slide-seal case are different buying units. Compare price per bag and actual delivered cost, then round the order to whole cases.

Are reclosable, resealable and zip bags the same?
These terms often describe bags that can be opened and closed again. Verify whether the exact product uses a pinch-track zipper or a slide seal, and compare listed size and thickness.
Does a 6 × 9 inch bag fit a 6 × 9 inch product?
That cannot be assumed. Product thickness, seams, closure position and packing clearance affect fit. Check usable dimensions and try a packed sample for a close fit.
What if my requirement is between case quantities?
The planner rounds up to whole cases and shows the extra bags. The product page is the final source for the order unit, price and availability.
Can I use these for food or electronic components?
Check the exact material documentation for your application. Do not infer food-contact suitability or ESD protection from clarity, color or film thickness. For electronics, review the specific anti-static requirement.

Light-duty reclosable bags in 2-mil work well for lightweight retail items and small components. Medium-duty 4-mil bags handle hardware, heavier parts, and food products where puncture resistance matters more. Heavy-duty 6-mil bags are best for sharp-edged components, industrial use, and anything that will be accessed repeatedly in a rough environment.
Zip-lock closures provide the most secure seal and are the most common format for food, parts, and retail applications. Slider closures make opening and closing faster and more reliable for users who access the bag frequently. Press-and-seal formulas offer the simplest operation but provide a less secure closure for contents that need to stay contained under pressure.
Reclosable bags are available in sizes from miniature jewelry formats under 2 inches square up to large formats exceeding 24 inches for garments and bulk items.
