Common questions
How does this polyester strapping compare to Signode® steel strapping?
This product is directly comparable to Signode® 1816 steel strapping but offers 40% cost savings, 80% lighter weight, non-corrosive properties, and tension retention. It eliminates rust staining, reduces worker injury risk, and seals with standard equipment, making it ideal for high-volume operations.
Can I use my existing strapping equipment with this polyester alternative?
Yes. This polyester strapping seals with both serrated and sandpaper seals, compatible with most industrial strapping machines. The 16 x 6" core fits standard strapping equipment without modifications.
Is this strapping suitable for outdoor or wet environments?
Absolutely. Unlike steel strapping, polyester is non-corrosive and UV-resistant, making it ideal for outdoor pallets, containers exposed to moisture, and humid warehouse environments. It won't rust, stain products, or degrade from weather exposure.
How long does the tension last on this polyester strapping?
Polyester strapping retains tension longer than competitor alternatives, maintaining secure load integrity throughout shipping, handling, and storage cycles. This durability reduces the need for re-strapping and ensures compliance with shipping standards.
